⬆ I created this presentation to illustrate how I would approach the role over the first 12 months and beyond, including key 30-60-90-day milestones. I welcome the opportunity to discuss these ideas further in an interview.

Mission-driven communications leader who builds trust, elevates impact, and turns storytelling into meaningful community engagement.
As the new Director of Marketing & Communications with Catholic Charities East Bay (CCEB), my goal would be to build a unified, mission-centered communications function that elevates CCEB’s visibility, strengthens community trust, deepens donor engagement, and clearly communicates the organization’s impact across all programs.
Because CCEB serves multiple audiences (clients, donors, volunteers, media, community partners, faith communities, and public stakeholders) the communications strategy must be both highly organized and deeply human, balancing operational discipline with compelling storytelling.
My plan focuses on five priorities:
- Clarify and strengthen the CCEB brand across all channels and departments
- Create repeatable systems and internal processes for consistent, high-quality communications
- Increase external visibility and audience engagement through digital, social, media, and community outreach
- Support fundraising and donor stewardship through stronger storytelling and campaign alignment
- Measure results and optimize performance using clear KPIs, reporting, and audience feedback
The ultimate objective is to ensure that every communication, from a newsletter to a press pitch to an event flyer, reinforces CCEB’s mission: helping people facing poverty and complex challenges with dignity, compassion, and effective support.
If selected for this role, my approach would be to build a communications function that is both highly strategic and deeply mission-driven, one that helps CCEB tell a more unified, visible, and compelling story across every touchpoint.
By strengthening brand consistency, building scalable systems, elevating storytelling, and aligning communications more closely with fundraising and community engagement, I would aim to ensure that Catholic Charities East Bay’s impact is not only felt in the community, but clearly understood and championed by everyone who supports its mission.
