Get to know me!

It’s great to meet you!

     My name is Kyiakhalid Ruiz.  Am I just a charismatic MBA with a 15-year agency background specializing in marketing, communications and brand management?  There’s more than meets the eye.

It is important to me to maintain a healthy work-life balance.  Having outside interests from work allows me time to recharge the batteries, meet interesting, like-minded people and to learn more about myself.  Life is more than just being a great employee and teammate.  It’s also about being a happy human being and modelling good behavior as a constructive member of society.

My passions include (in no particular order)…

My three defining characteristics…

1. Collaborative management style:  Budget and deadline pressures are a fact of our working lives.  Through it all, I manage to keep the team engaged and motivated on our communications objectives.  And because none of us is as smart as all of us, I actively reach across the business silos to

Cultural-sensitivity:  In our increasingly multinational world, we all need to recognize and the strengths of other cultures.  In my global travels (12 countries and counting, including one high school year in India!), I have had the benefit of making many lifelong friends from different cultures.  Consequently, I have had the opportunity to learn about the human kindness that unites us all.

3. Entrepreneurial initiative:  Working at an organization is more than waiting for the next assignment.  Having a holistic mindset allows me to fully grasp the reasoning that drives the assignment.  My entrepreneurial edge grants me the flexibility to react to changing inputs while keeping the focus of the assignment.

In conclusion…
