My name is Kyiakhalid (“Kyia”) Ruiz.  I have 25 years of experience in digital and traditional marketing, efficient communications that clearly and concisely deliver messaging and effective brand management that protects, preserves and enhances organizational reputation across a wide spectrum of sectors (legal, education, government, finance, healthcare, tech, retail…).  As a result, I love the challenge of making effective communication look effortless.

Initially, I ran a successful media agency from 1999 to 2014 before pivoting to obtain an MBA degree in 2015.  I offer this unique combination of entrepreneurial problem-solving and corporate best practices to help organizations maximize their brand awareness and exceed their growth objectives.

What’s my leadership style?

Respect is the name of the game. Therefore, as a leader I strive to cultivate for my team an atmosphere of mutual respect where every teammate is emboldened to offer their unique skills, a transparent communication rooted in active listening, and a growth mindset that encourages innovative solutions and efficient workflows.

How do I find work-life balance?

Like many people, I strive to experience the full 360 degrees of my humanity and have passions and hobbies outside of work. My passions include world travel to deepen cultural sensitivity, animal welfare and environmental sustainability. My hobbies include gardening 🌺, photography 📸, hiking 🏔️ and lovebombing my rescue puppy! 🐶
